NVŠ - non-formal education of children
The purpose of non-formal education for children is to meet the needs of students for knowledge, education and self-expression, to help them become active members of society.
Funds for non-formal education of children from the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania, the budget of Vilnius city municipality and the financial support of the European Union are allocated to municipalities for the development of non-formal education of children, with the aim of increasing the number of children educated according to NVŠ programs.
NVŠ financing is allocated to providers who have accredited NVŠ programs in any Lithuanian municipality.
A child who studies according to primary, basic and secondary education programs has the right to apply for NVŠ funding.
NVŠ funds can finance only one NVŠ program chosen by the child, for which NVŠ funds are allocated by the municipality where the child studies according to the NVŠ program, regardless of which municipality he lives and studies according to the general education program.
The amount of NVŠ funds per child participating in the NVŠ program is 25 EUR/month.
